چکیده
ABSTRACT Electrochemically active bacteria (EAB) interact electrochemically with electrodes via extracellular electron transfer (EET) pathways. These have attracted significant attention due to their utility in environmental-friendly bioelectrochemical systems (BESs), including microbial fuel cells and electrofermentation systems. The electrochemical activity of EAB is dependent on carbon catabolism respiration; thus, understanding how these processes are regulated will provide insights into the development a more efficient BES. process biofilm formation by BES also important for electric current generation because it facilitates physical interactions between electrodes. This article summarizes knowledge EET-related metabolic cellular functions model EAB, Shewanella oneidensis MR-1, focusing specifically regulatory catabolism, EET pathways, formation. Based recent developments, author discusses potential uses engineered S. strains various biotechnological applications.

the effects of cooperative versus individual directed reading thinking activities on students inferential and referential questions
two groups of students were assigned as experimental and control ones, and were given instruction on directed reading-thinking activities and after some treatment, they were post-tested. although the initial pre-test did not show any significant differences, the final post-test result revealed that the cooperative reading comprehension helped the experimental group. the cooperative students’...

The myogenic regulatory factors are necessary for the determination and terminal differentiation of skeletal muscle. Gene targeting experiments have demonstrated that MyoD and Myf5 are important for myogenic determination whereas myogenin and MRF4 are important for terminal differentiation and lineage maintenance. During development, all trunk skeletal muscle is derived from the somite. Two spa...
متن کاملMolecular mechanisms regulating immune responses in thromboangiitis obliterans: a comprehensive review
Thromboangiitis obliterans (TAO) is a thrombotic-occlusive as well as an inflammatory peripheral vascular disease with unknown etiology. Recent evidence has supported the immunopathogenesis of the disease, however, the factors contributing to the altered immune function and vascular tissue inflammation are still unclear. This review was intended to collate the more current knowledge on the regu...
